Mingling is a solo guitar EP that synthesizes many different musical interests into a common tonal palette. With a strong interest and passion for everything from Bach to The Beatles, the arrangements are meant to convey a similar mood, although the compositions are rather different in style and tradition.

The EP varies throughout, kicking off with the Strayhorn?Ellington favorite that leads directly into the last "double" of the first Bach Violin Partita. Danny Boy slows the pace, but is then followed by a sporadic improvised piece. The penultimate number is an arrangement of the famous George Harrison composition, "Something," and then the EP closes out with a temporally uncomfortable, slightly eerie improvised piece.

The two improvised pieces respectively entitled "Improvisketch 1" and "Improvisketch 2" on the latter half of the EP are short, improvised ideas that stem from an ongoing project of sitting down with the guitar, hitting record, and seeing what happens; these are a couple of those captured moments.
